Dubai Outlet Mall Expands Retail Space and Adds Cinema Ahead of Ramadan Rush

The Dubai Outlet Mall, situated on the Dubai-Al Ain highway, is gearing up for the bustling Ramadan and Eid retail season with a significant expansion of 3.8 million square feet. This timely expansion includes the addition of a cinema, a farmer’s market, and a LuLu hypermarket, enhancing the shopping experience for visitors.

Completed in the third quarter of 2023, the mall’s new extension has already seen a flurry of retailers taking up spots and opening stores in the past two months. The mall management is now focused on ‘speeding up’ this occupancy process to fully capitalize on the upcoming peak retail season.

One of the key features of this expansion is the increased parking capacity, accommodating up to 6,000 vehicles. This upgrade is particularly significant as the Dubai Outlet Mall is located in a rapidly growing area, with new housing projects and communities emerging every quarter. The improved road networks in recent years have also made the mall more accessible, contributing to its growing popularity.

Retail analysts note that the demand for retail space in Dubai remains high, with occupancy levels in the city’s top shopping and entertainment destinations consistently above 80 percent. The new retail space at Dubai Outlet Mall is expected to meet this strong demand.

Owned by Al Ahli Group, the mall has witnessed a significant increase in visitor traffic over the last two to three years. This growth is partly attributed to the rise in residential options in the vicinity, making it a convenient shopping destination for local residents and visitors alike.

The Dubai Outlet Mall’s expansion is not just a response to the increasing demand but also an indicator of the city’s dynamic retail sector. With the new additions, the mall is set to offer a more diversified shopping experience, catering to a wide range of preferences and needs. As the Ramadan and Eid season approaches, the mall is poised to welcome a surge in shoppers, offering them an enhanced and more comprehensive shopping experience. This development underscores the mall’s commitment to evolving with the changing retail landscape and meeting the expectations of its diverse clientele.
