How to use the checker
- Fill in the parts that apply: public investments, real estate, a business you own or sold, or a salaried job. Leave the rest empty.
- For a salaried job, answer the three questions on the degree, the work permit and the occupational level.
- Read the result for each category and the points to confirm with ICP under it.
How the check works
Investor: deposit, company capital or partner's share ≥ AED 2,000,000, or federal tax ≥ AED 250,000 a year
Real estate: property ≥ AED 2,000,000, or off-plan units from an approved developer ≥ AED 2,000,000
Entrepreneur: annual revenue ≥ AED 1,000,000, or ventures sold ≥ AED 7,000,000 in total
Skilled professional: salary ≥ AED 30,000 a month, a bachelor's degree, a work permit and MOHRE level 1 or 2
Every figure is a minimum, so an amount exactly equal to it meets it. The checker looks at each route on its own: one route that meets its figure is enough for its category to show as possible. It does not add a deposit to property, for example, because ICP lists the routes separately.
The published minimums
| Category | Minimum |

| Real estate investor | AED 2,000,000 in property |
| Entrepreneur | AED 1,000,000 annual revenue; AED 7,000,000 in ventures sold |
| Skilled professional | AED 30,000 monthly salary |

Worked example
Worked example
Property worth AED 2,250,000 and a salary of AED 25,000
The property value and the salary are illustrations. The person has a degree, a work permit and a level 1 job.
- Property: AED 2,250,000 against AED 2,000,000: the figure is met.
- Salary: AED 25,000 against AED 30,000: AED 5,000 short, so the professional route is not met.
- No figures were entered for public investments or a business.
1 category may apply: real estate investor.
What the checker leaves out
- Other categories. Outstanding students and graduates, exceptional talents, scientists, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes qualify on criteria other than amounts, so the checker does not cover them.
- Mortgaged property. ICP accepts a loan from an approved local bank but does not say how the property's value is counted.
- Salary. ICP does not say whether the salary for skilled professionals is basic or total pay.
- Entrepreneurs. ICP also lists approval of the venture by an accredited incubator, the Ministry of Economy or a local authority, and does not say whether its conditions apply together or as alternatives.
- Documents and insurance. Proof of the source and ownership of funds, and health insurance for the applicant and family, are required on top of the figures.
Note
The full conditions for each category, and the documents ICP asks for, are in the golden visa requirements guide.
