General information only
Our guides, glossary and calculators explain how the rules for doing business in the UAE work and what the official sources say. They are written for a general audience. They are not a recommendation to set up, structure, register, file, invest or employ in any particular way, and they cannot tell you what is right for you.
UAE Business Explained is not a tax agent, a law firm, a business setup provider, a bank or a licensed adviser, and nothing on the site is an offer of any service or product.
Accuracy and dates
Every UAE figure on the site shows its official source and the date we checked it, and every guide shows when it was last updated and reviewed. Rules can change after those dates, authorities apply them to the facts of each case, and English versions of UAE laws are often unofficial translations of the Arabic text. Our methodology explains how we source and check figures, and our corrections page explains how to report an error.
Calculators
Our calculators give estimates under the assumptions stated on each page. They cannot take every fact of your case into account. What counts is the law, the authority's assessment and, where relevant, your contract. Use the results to understand and check, not as a ruling or a promise.
No endorsement
When we name a government body, a free zone, a bank or a service, it is to explain how something works. It is not an endorsement or a recommendation, and we receive nothing for it.
